The ignorance that passes for economics education in America today is evidenced by both "sides" commenting in this thread....
The free market seemed to be working just fine yesterday, when I filled up my near empty crew cab for well under $40.
So as someone who believes ignorance is ignorance regardless of the purported ideology and/or purported good intentions from it may have sprung from, I find some of these comments to be more evidence of the poor state of economics education today. And, as a result, some of these comments and conclusions by both sides are really "trending" to the dumb.
I'm also just shocked that there are outright lies and half truths told by folks who have something to gain, are seeking power, and/or by those who need to justify their positions, but are psychologically incapable of any objective thought on these subjects. So, it never surprises me when some of these extremes will just lose it, and begin to pull it out of their butts, once the "law of the ego/IQ inverse" kicks in in these arguments.
So since there is no apparent monopoly on stupid by either extreme....maybe, as is so often the case, the truth lies somewhere in between?
Since I did save so much on gas ("damn you" "evil" Obama?), I went out to see the Gold Line, and buy some "real" manure at Home Depot in Monrovia. Where they were testing the gates, crossing signals, and interfaces with the traffic signals, and are now installing wire and electrical systems. So soon, Carl Ragoza, resting nearby, will hear the sound of train whistles once again......
Some of us actually do like trains........right?
