Corvallis? Seriously? OK, I understand the need to address dwindling attendance as well as the need for a better facility. And I understand the desire to have the event closer to home. But Corvallis? The place is in the middle of nowhere. The closest airport is Eugene, while the closest major airport is Portland. The closest Amtrak station is Albany. To get to Corvallis requires a transfer to a Thruway Bus. The schedule has that bus departing Corvallis at 6:40 AM Sunday thru Friday and returning from Albany at 2:10 PM also Sunday thru Friday(no Saturday service). Even then, the transfer at Albany is not to Amtrak, but another Thruway bus to/from Portland. Passengers travelling on any of the Cascades or the Coast Starlight will need to find a rental car someplace in either Albany or Eugene.
What I don't understand is that with as many cities as there are in the Metro Portland area, why not try to find a location there? My guess is that something could be found that would be suitable and even be close to MAX or the Portland Streetcar.
