Seems to me Dick's thoughts are pretty constructive and insightful. The existing building has already been trashed as anything historical. So what is so wrong with the idea of doing a "heavy remodel" that restores it to one of its former railroad configurations. Not sure that is likely to happen because the folks with the money are usually not railfans, and land is at a premium in that area, but I certainly see no reason to question Dick's credentials as a railfan.
