Is it not all that common for Amtrak to conduct detour movements these days? I though in these situations Amtrak would be more likely to use buses?

Hasn't the CZ detoured through the Franklin Canyon route in the past, like the San Jaoquins have?

By the way when the CZ detour on the Altamont Pass line last Monday it was running on the original route of the original CZ? Why did it not use the Franklin Canyon route?
