Bill-

Tunnels 14 and 15 are both located north of Tunnel 13, right about where the line loops back on itself on the descent down the north slope of the mountain and above the bridge over I-5. Tunnel 14 has been one of the major restrictions on the line, as clearances are not enough to allow for any oversized cars.

The stillborn tunnel is off the south side of Buck's Rock...the original route of the railroad was to turn right after coming out of Tunnel 13, it would have then wound around Bucks Rock and rejoined the as-built line down at the bottom of the canyon (Stanford Curves?). Construction forces started building the tunnel, but before holing it through the engineers changed their mind and built the existing railroad instead.
