I was standing in BN's Twin Cities offices with then Locomotive Manager Monte Sanders newly promoted from Penn Central and Milwaukee Road Engineer Walter Kroening. At the time both Walter and I were BLF&E Officers up in the Twin Cities for the new UTU regional meeting. Monte was an old Milwaukee buddy of ours and we stopped in to say hello and wish him well with his new employer.BN's corporate headquarters was in St.Paul,MN. until it was moved to Fort Worth,TX.for tax purposes and a better corporate climate.
