As I recall, bikes can go in two places, the wheelchair areas (like BART) and hanging vertically in an area with flip-up seats. But this was a while ago and may have changed.

Also, the manufacturer ran the seat tracks through the bistro area so that it can be replaced by more seats. SMART didn't ask for that, but it adds flexibility.

The cars are specified to be able to run with a train of four (two unpowered) cars, but the plan is to use three maximum as that will fit with fifty feet to spare at all the stations without blocking streets. This is especially important in San Rafael.
