Leavenworth Washington

I recently visited Leavenworth WA. I read an informational sign that said the Great Northern used to run through town. After the line was relocated in the 1920's US 2 is located on some of the old railroad right of way. With that in mind, a short distance west on US2 is a bridge spanning the Wenatchee River. Was this bridge used by the railroad in this location? If not used in this location was it moved to this location? The trail part of the bridge looks like tank cars were cut in pieces and used as the base tread for the trail. Further up the trail is a row of 15 or so 1 inch bolts sticking out of the trail surface. Could this have been an achoring point for some railroad purpose? There appeared to be alot of large concrete pours in the vehicle parking area. Railroad related? Thanks in advance.
