The real measure of transportation projects should be the cost to Build+Maintain divided by the number of daily users. By that measure roads look great and public transportation is a waste of money. These bicycle projects are not cheap, and often are used by only a few dozen people daily, and a lot less in the rain and snow. Roads on the other hand benefit thousands of people daily, and even buses.
