CAJON & I were told by Santa Fe official Norm Orfell that the U.S Forest Service " Requested " the railroad paint signals within the San Bernardino National Forest Tan. The fact the railroad pre - dated the forest designation didn't seem to matter to the fine folks @ U.S.F.S.
Are the new signal installations for the 3rd Mainline also being painted Tan??? With today's Stainless Steel construction for relay boxes, this would be a tough task, I would think...
