The decorative "rails" in the last photo are similar in concept to what was done with the old Reading Terminal trainshed in Philadelphia. After the depot closed in 1984, the huge balloon shed became part of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and the restoration included decorative "rails" to replicate the tracks in the old shed.
