And to note, 4 of the 10 cars built have been saved. One is at the Daytona Beach Museum, one with the 261 group, one being restored by a private owner, and one in storage at Escanaba. What other famous class of cars or locomotives have had 40% of them saved? And, of the four, two are sleeper configuration (Olympian Hi), two are day seating (Twin Cities Hi). So let's not cry too much if the Lansdowne cars don't make it. And yes, the scrapper realizes their historic value and would like to find a buyer or two for the cars.
