Most of the tracks for the old line that connected the SP and the WP in Sacramento are still intact, although slowly being reclaimed by the grass and vegetation. It has been cut off from both mains, which leads to questions. 1. Why are the tracks still intact? Is there hope for future use (however faint)? 2. When was the last time the line was used? 3. Was it jointly owned or the property of only one railroad?
