I second the thoughts on parking at Lloyd Center Mall. It's at the Northeast corner of Interstates 5 & 84, just across the Willamette River from Portland Union Station ( PUS ) and Downtown Portland. Also very near the former Rose Garden Arena ( now MODA Center ). Parking is free or very reasonable, and MAX Lightrail has 2 stops in the immediate area.
