Conductor, you sound just like an Amtrak employee where the new motto is apparently "2nd rate service is good enough, and third rate service is even better" (at least based upon what I saw Wednesday)?

A friend recently left the car show at Del Mar race track before 2 pm, and arrived in Glendale after 6 pm, on a week day, on the I-5, so I am not surprised by the demand for the train.

So there is nothing contradictory about pointing out the fact that the Surfliner service, while operating with full trains, is operating at a costly and inefficient third world speed, in a gridlocked corridor, where we could carry tens of thousands more passengers every day, with prompt timely service, while we waste billions on the boondoggle in Fresno.....
