Santa Fe's GP-20's ( and their GE U25B's as well ) were assigned to their Eastern Lines out of Chicago due to the units having cab signals and ATS shoes. They were on the point of virtually all Santa Fe freights between Chicago and Kansas City for most of the 1960's.
Rock Island also had a few Flexi - Vans.
La Salle Street Station had a cameo in the movie The Sting.
