Looks like sigh & pdx missed my subtlty and irony
The original mining Co is long gone.
That's called history
Like slavery
It happened
Let's don't revise history to fit the cell phone age
The hazards of lead took a long time to be known- look up unleaded gas for example
Gold mining used mercury and cyanide, but they didn't bother to concentrate the lead and sell it-
it was in the way of the gold tho'
My grampa used mercury for gunsmith work [ GUNS ohshitohdear OMG]
And cast his own bullets - the lead pot was heated with an unvented gas flame.
He lived into his 90s.
