I'm a doubter regarding FedEx and rail. They don't seem to have adopted it like UPS did. But then their ground operation was mostly distribution from air hubs for a long time so maybe they're still learning? In any case, Watsonville wouldn't seem like a place to put a rail-to-truck center, based as much on UP's likely service as on local; more likely regional sorting using all trucks. Could increase traffic at Watsonville or Monterey airports, though. Wonder if Monterey can handle real heavies (a Lear is a heavy at Wastonville)?
