Hank Graham told Me one time as We were climbing westbound that He worked one of the last trains over the old alignment. He said it was changed about the time Cajon Pass was being changed to His recollection. This is the older alignment that has the culvert still in place from about milepost 452 to 453 or so. Also, to the south side of the tracks from about 451 to 452 are the older, square signal poles that were removed. They are pretty cool to look at while grinding uphill and to think about what power and equipment passed by them over their lifetime !
