Depends on the district/division I once had a 15,000T, 150 car train from Tracy to Pittsburg; another time I had all empty auto racks, and the train was longer than the Mtz Bridge, approaches and short steep section to Benicia included. For the life of me I can't see how the Coast guys ran those 9,000T PTCIYs and CZLATs between SLO and SBA without having more problems than they did.
