This thread sure brought back some good memories. This was in the early days of the fiber interoffice cabling projects. Working for PacBell, I remember walking alongside of the work train plowing in the innerduct for the eventual fiber placement. Those were some really good days. I couldn't wrangle a cab ride, but what the heck. I was amazed at even with all the power available, there were still spots along the ROW that posed problems. The engineering diagrams over-laid onto the ROW maps were to definitely "foamer" material. Good days they were!
