SF Railfans: Quint St. Bridge Replacement Starts September 28
The Quint St. Project was awarded to Shimmick Construction in August. Work starts on September 28. The bridge is being replaced with a berm. If it goes at all like the Paul and 23rd St. projects, the first step will be fencing off the project area. The project area will be from Necomb to the the east side of the Quint St. Lead.
Once the project is over, I guess there will probably be a big fence along the Quint St. lead at the new dead-end on Quint St. So two weeks to get some photos of the Switcher coming down the ramp before progress arrives.
