Mook,
Not another rationale response, you've once again wasted, to a rather pointless comment...?
It's not really about the "trains", or the weather, it's just more of the typical kind of frustrated pointless whining for no real reason that seems to haunt open sites on the internet. In this case, by someone who usually has more interesting things to say, but who has apparently never worked on big multi-year construction projects, where "rain" is just another factor to deal with.....just like most folks have to do in real life.
Yes, rain can complicate things, when working "out doors". But, so what.... Doesn't heavy equipment work in the rain? And, most construction workers I've know usually have rain gear.....just in case....
It is about the "trains" to document these changes in our lives and our history for future generations, many of whom now clearly have no idea of where we came from, how we got here, or where we're going.....
My latest proof for that thesis came when I was watching the Walt Disney biography on PBS last night, describing Walt and his wife arriving at Los Angeles "Union Station" in "1928". It's yet another example of just how easy it is to "erase" "history", due primarily to the sheer ignorance of "history", which is so common in our "communications" majors, who make up most our media types these days.
