Resign because they are residents? No. But (to continue your analogy) resign because they are present or former employees of the Attorney General's office and staff, or family members of such individuals? Yes!

The PD editorial may be a tad imprecise, but not ludicrous. The problem arises because the individual Novato directors at issue have provided, and arguably continue to provide, an unethical, and possible unlawful, conduit for covert carriage of NCRA’s privileged attorney-client communications to its adversary.
