The two buildings in the former SP rail yard that are occupied by CSRM functions CANNOT be upgraded until title issues and remediation assurance issues are settled for the buildings. many years ago after UP tore down the former CSRM restoration shop, CSRM was allowed temporary limited use of the Boiler and Erecting Shop buildings until promised title transfer to CSRM could happen. The buildings are dying, but sadly, no building restoration can take place until the title transfer happens. This is one complicated mess involving several governmental agencies and is unlikely to clear up soon, in spite of mounting development momentum in the surrounding land area. Larry Kelly and Mayor Johnson may need to push this to make things happen.
