The Santa Fe engines are too long to fit in the erection shop. A erection shop was where steam locomotives are built and rebuilt. Only the steam locomotive is in this building. The tender would go to the tender shop. The current curator told us on a tour many years ago that they cannot fit those engines with the tender coupled. The tender would need to go on the next track.
