798 and 799 were so captioned in the plan to add direct LA SF service.
It got planned and flogged and eventually , a coupla years ago, the train numbers were changed to - well I don't keep up, but the present mid day turn to BI I believe -1761/??
Sigh, there is only one cure for the aging process
