Rare mileage is finally being restored to service after a long wait......on the really sucky I-215 freeway corridor/parking lot.

Current 91 line weekend service is only two "inbound" trains to LA the morning and two outbound late afternoon/early evening trains, so a trip "out" to Perris and/or OERM for the day would not be possible with that schedule.

I have not found any additional information on the proposed schedule revisions for the Perris extension, as yet. But, you should feel free to contact the Riverside County Transportation Commission, or the Riverside County Metrolink Board Reps, and suggest they look at serving their own potential local weekend tourism market (serving attractions like OERM), and not just downtown LA's growing weekend rail tourism market.... as the current weekend service primarily does now.
