It appears several (8-10) NYC steamers survive, including a couple of 4-8-2s (but no 4-6-4s or 4-8-4s). I can't take credit for anything but a quick Google search. The most famous is probably 4-4-0 #999 at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. I believe the Lackawanna engine in St. Louis is a camelback of some sort.

I've always heard that SP donated more steamers for preservation than any other railroad.
