Thanks for the replys on my Modoc question. I drove 395 from Susanville to Alturas in 2000 and the tracks were still there at that time allthough the crossing signals had been removed. I will be taking a much closer look at the right of way this time including Westwood to Wendall and Wendall to Alturas. IM planning on taking lots of pictures. I will also be following the BN highline and the Feather River Canyon route.
