We bought King Bearing in the mid-nineties, and at that time they were the pinnacle of industrial
distribution started and run by crazy people. Their corporate headquarters was the big white
building that can be seen from the rail stop at the west end of Corona. In the fifteen or so
years since then it has become virtually impossible to start and run such an enterprise in
California. By and large our customers make things, things that can be sold for a profit. In the
age of the Internet it's hard to believe that a state can make and sell information at some
level of profit.
