The older Mazda nav system was a POS on the updates, but the 2015 Mazda 3 I had used a memory card that could be updated with a PC program from the Mazda website. The updates were only free for the first two years, but I really liked the interface, particularly the scroll wheel.

Having said that, I still think Garmin is the best portable unit, and with Lifetime Maps and Traffic is one of the very best options.
