Interesting to see San Jose included. When I drove for Conway Western, a confirmed NON-union company, a bunch of drivers in San Jose signed Teamsters union pledge cards. Seems they were having issues with the Terminal Manager. Sooo... CWX started diverting freight to neighboring yards in Salinas, Hayward, & San Francisco; the message being heard clearly by the drivers. CWX also " replaced " the TM.
I recall some Walmart meat wrappers and butchers voting to go union, wherein Wally World switched to all pre - packaged meats.
