Yes, the attempt by companies to introduce (and subsequently flood) the market with European style stores failed miserably. The corporate one-size-fits-all just does not work in something like a grocery store. Each area has different cliental, different needs, different desires. Sure, 24/7 Fresh N Easy stores in Las Vegas went over great, as I am sure they did great as well in areas such as downtown LA, Hollyweird, the west side, near USC and UCLA. But in La Mirada, Covina, Pomona, etc. etc.? Nope.
