The Swiss exhibit a fair amount of common sense, and don't go out of their way to cause problems for each other. Much more acceptance of the general messiness of life, and the need for some personal responsibility in dealing with it. Americans have lawyers, and are always looking for something to sue somebody over and, effectively, win the lottery, whether or not the law or common sense would avoid the issue.
