Howard ---

Thanks for the info! Man -- things are really
looking up for the Santa Cruz Branch! Lots of
activity is planned, only part of which is the
GGRM’s relocation there. All that activity is
good news. Glad to hear that Wasatch is helping
the GGRM prepare for the Big Move -- Wasatch is
quite knowledgeable about all things RR, including
steam, and they do excellent work, from what I have
heard.

When people ask when the GGRM will actually move
to Santa Cruz, the best answer is the one you gave.
It’ll happen when everything and everyone is ready,
and no date can be set yet.

I think it is a good idea that the GGRM is starting
to hold regular public meetings in Santa Cruz, and
has already gotten a great program for that first
meeting.

And, from the fact that a speeder excursion is tentatively
planned for April on the Davenport Branch, I concluded
that the SC&MB will not by then be storing freight cars on
that branch. (I read that the SC&MB is seriously looking
for customers who need to have cars stored, and that they
will store cars on that branch.)

Fascinating times ahead for the Santa Cruz Branch!
