It's interesting that engineer/conductor is also responsible for sweeping and cleaning trains between runs and is expected to enforce fare regulations and issue citations even though it is a "unsworn unarmed" job. I thought only "sworn" law enforcement officers could issue citations but maybe they have some kind of exemption.
It's asking too much of an engineer/conductor to also be responsible for fare enforcement. Other agencies contract with local PD/Sheriff or have own police like BARTI wonder what they're told to do if someone is belligerent or abusive.
I hope they're told to request police or sheriff to meet them at the next stop.
Also don't understand about gambling regulations... how could they allow it on a train
