After rereading the job description [
www2.sonomamarintrain.org]
I noticed that the engineer conductor is classified as a public officer and has powers of arrest while on the train and they have to write reports testify in court but they are unarmed. They also have to take some kind of law enforcement class
I didn't see anything about a union representing them.
Who would represent them UTU or BLE or some public employee union...
Is this the wave of the future for Caltrain, ACE and others or just smaller DMU operators like WES in the Portland area Denton County A train near Dallas and the Sprinter
