Los Angeles times has reported that there are efforts by citizens, local government and all the usual suspects in procuring a 'quiet zone' through the city of Glendale Ca.My cks, question is that they stated thatmorethan 90 trains a day traverse this sector. I may be wrong but I tried to do the math adding up the Ventura and Saugus line Metrolinks, the Surfliners,Amtraks,2 Gemco Haulers,Saugus local, rock train, close to an 1 oil train, baretable andautorack train a day and increasing intermodals on the Saugus line(mostly at night) and I m not coming up with anywhere near 90(or 3.7 trains an hour) a day. Can anybody tell me if I m wrong..just curious.
