Thanks for the info, John. Kind of funny, huh, how these 'coal yards' in residential Oakland required rail service. Take "Robert's Coal" that I mentioned earlier out at High Street and MacArthur Blvd. They had a spur off of the "California Railway" that ran up to Leona Heights. In later years, when they got out of the coal business, they became Robert's Tires. Same location.
