Just read something with more details, the proposal is a stub train La Junta-Pueblo, I believe the original idea was a full detour through Pueblo for the Chief. Anyway, please disregard my previous question. :-)


Over the years Amtrak has split trains mid-journey in quite a few places. I believe today we only have mid-trip splits at Spokane, San Antonio and Albany, NY (although I seem to remember that the Albany split was in a temporary suspension). Am I missing any current split locations?
