The best thing they could have done was to let Bassett and Gianoli walk. Bassett has run off 90% of the volunteer force (which Mark admitted) and there is a lot of volunteers who are banned from the property because they disagreed with his decision making. As to Marty Westland he was fired for questioning duplicate purchase orders that were done on a regular basis when he was CMO. Gianoli and his bank have loaned tons of money to the railroad of which he serves on the board of, conflict of interest??? I would think so! What happened to the boat load of money the railroad owes to the S&S shortline that didn't do a thing? This railroad is still going to be screwed of no matter what.
