THANK YOU for reminding us about this museum that seems to get very little attention. This is a group that has been very quietly building a great place in Eastern WA. They have property, a turntable, a spectacular new Restoration and Conservation Center, and even a live rail connection -- which is a huge plus for a rail museum. Their collections looks to be in great shape, too, thanks to the dry climate of Spokane.
The UP steam loco is a great piece and a good match for the UP Harriman diner. The tall drivers on that loco remind me of the Milwaukee's 100-mph pacifics. Gotta love high speed passenger steam!
The NP F9 is another gem and will look great next to their Loewy-green NP coaches.
All in all, a great-looking place with a bright future. I need to throw these guys some support somehow.
