A friend of mine working of the California state government in Sacramento had this to say (condensed) - "those at the top want to show they are doing something about 'climate change' but now admit privately they are becoming increasingly concerned (some would say it's about time) about businesses leaving the state and also low fuel prices. Far left leaning democrats continue to get a earful from moderate Democrats and Republicans who think there are too many regulations on business in the state, especially small business. One huge potential problem they see is chronic low gasoline and diesel fuel prices. A sample study and poll with some 4000 state residents was done in July and the results were not encouraging for those wanting to see more electric cars on the road."
