Their idealism trumps logic and facts.
Note there is no real detail on how to curtail carbon pollution, but I suspect the details will entail some state bureaucracy keeping close tabs on energy consumption by every single household and business. They will want to know how many miles we drive every year and will tax us accordingly. Use more energy than you are arbitrarily alloted, and you will pay extra $$$ to the state of CA Franchise Tax Board or the DMV.
Basically, they hope to accomplished carbon reduction by intimidating the citizenry to use less energy through taxation and fines. The ultimate extortion racket and control mechanism.
These far left tyrants are begging to swing from a rope. They have earned no less a fate.
