Steam locomotive PTC

So I was thinking... How will steam locomotives be equipped with PTC:

There already is:

- ATS (3751).
- Cab signals (844).

And most of big steam has the diesel MU control box, along with modern narrowband radios, no asbestos, better insulation, more roller bearing application. Great maintenance imposed by FRA, I'm positive the current operating steam locomotives are maintained to better standards, than "back in the day", water quality perhaps being the exception (too much chlorine vs. natural spring water on water tanks).

One man who I can think of is Ross Rowland with the C&O 614, as he wanted to build a modern steamer to haul coal in the 80's, maybe he would have an idea? I know there is a lot more tech, since this was studied 20 years ago...

How will Radio-Equipped become also PTC-Equipped on steam?
