Not sure if 2-30 still uses Oat Mountain, which has/had great coverage in the San Fernando Valley
Otherwise you need a good tall outside antenna and a good receiver or scanner with a cavity filter
When I lived in Seal Beach I had a Bendix King programmable VHF radio on a Super Station Master 30 feet off the ground on Schedule 80 water pipe
I could hear the coast all the way past Santa Barbara, down to Del Mar and sometimes 22nd Street yard, the Valley to Santa Susanna and over to Cajon Summit and Beaumont and over the mountains to Mojave (the Palmdale Link) and sometimes Barstow
Damm I miss that system!
