I thought UP asked him to They could not absorb it yet. Also I don't remember any meltdowns during Anshultz's time.

I do remember a Republican convention during which Anshultz rented a parking lot at Broadway & Pacific Highway in San Diego. The 'Navy' spur switch was 'used' to connect a to temporary spur built on top of the parking lot pavement for his private cars.
