Let's rebuild a Turbo

New York State had the Amtrak RTL III Rohr Turboliner rebuild program from SuperSteel. Unfortunately, many of the unfinished sets were never finished and cut up.
Is anyone trying to preserve one? They should save one of the sets in Bear, DE.
The Bear, DE RTL Turboliner III rebuilds could be repowered by Siemens into basically converting the power cars into SC-44 chargers, making the 125MPH diesel electrics, Cummins powered. I rode on one of the sets when it was in San Diego, to LA when I was on the Santa Fe and they rode very smooth. This is when they were built in the San Diego Rohr plant, they are so nice compared to the Amfleets even those being Budd. Why not have an RTL-IV rebuild?
Perhaps New York State can pay Siemens for this? I hear the Empire Corridor has 110MPH operations with P42's? They can do better than that...
Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Florida are paying for their own State supported locomotives and car. What's wrong with New York State?
