Mr. Driver, your missing the point. It has already been proven that the ELDs are no more correct than a paper log since the driver still has to input information manually. It is like this thread says...fantasy vs reality. Case in point. I'm a local driver. I have 1 hour driving time left so I tell my dispatcher I'm done for the day and head to the house which is only a half hour away. Guess what? There is a four car pile up on the Interstate bridge. 45 minutes later, I'm still stuck in traffic and a red light starts flashing at me to remind me that I have to stop driving in 15 minutes. So, I leave it up to you. Fantasy...I shut my truck down and block traffic for 10 hours or reality....go over my time by 30 minutes, fudge my book a tad, and watch football all weekend with no one the wiser. And you can't cheat in fantasy land because the GPS will show that you were still driving after you time was up.
